‘Power Shopper’ to Give Black Friday Bargain Hunters an Edge
--JO TO GO Coffee® Features the Specialty Drink Created Specifically for Holiday Shoppers--
Green Bay, WI— Nationwide JO TO GO Coffee® will be open bright and early at 5:30 AM on Black Friday, November 24, 2006 to help the hordes of crazy bargain hunters shake off the sleepy effects of the previous night’s Thanksgiving dinner. The coffee drive thru is featuring the highly-caffeinated “Power Shopper” drink that JO TO GO Coffee® president Dick DuBois created to energize holiday shoppers.
DuBois was floored by the dozens and dozens of people huddled in the cold outside of Walmart at 5:30 AM when he opened for business at one of the original JO TO GO Coffee® locations on Black Friday in 1999.
“The customers that came through JO TO GO Coffee® that day wanted something warm, something tasty, and something that would give them a lift to make it through that crazy shopping day,” said Dick. “So I created a bold specialty coffee concoction just for them—the Power Shopper.”
The Power Shopper packs a caffeine punch with extra shots of espresso, yet goes down easy because it’s mixed with Hershey’s Milk Chocolate sauce, white chocolate, French vanilla and steamed milk.
Indeed, it appears shoppers may need that extra Power Shopper kick to get them through what promises to be a busy holiday gift-giving season. According to the National Retail Federation’s (NRF) 2006 Holiday Consumer Intentions and Actions Survey, retailers expect to ring up $457.4 billion in holiday sales, an increase of 5 percent over last year.
JO TO GO Coffee® is a leading specialty coffee drive through. Founded in Green Bay, Wisconsin in 1998, JO TO GO Coffee® caters to busy lifestyles with speed, convenience, and fun. JO TO GO Coffee® has been hailed by Entrepreneur Magazine as the counterbrand to the world’s leading specialty coffee retailer and continues to add coffee franchise opportunities across the U.S. The drive-thru coffee bar has franchises under contract in Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, New York and Wisconsin.
