Nationwide Cardio Boxing and Kickboxing Fitness Franchise Organization Expands to 51 Units
COSTA MESA, CA — LA BOXING Franchise Corporation, a national operator of distinctive cardio boxing and kickboxing health and fitness gyms, announced today the signing of its first franchise in Puerto Rico. The new franchise was awarded to Mr. Alberto De Diego. The sale of the franchise to be located in the Greater San Juan, PR, area, is the 51st franchise that LA BOXING Franchise Corporation has awarded.
Mr. De Diego is a partner in the law offices of Melendez Perez, Ledesma & Prats LLP, located in Hato Rey, PR. His business plan calls for the development of multiple LA BOXING gyms throughout Puerto Rico.
The franchise industry has come a long way since such chains as Tastee Freeze and Big Boy began appearing on the island in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Since then, the number of franchise companies has multiplied aggressively, demonstrating that Puerto Rico is an attractive market. As a whole, 2,000 franchised fast-food restaurants in Puerto Rico are estimated to generate $1 billion to $1.3 billion a year in revenue, according to The US Department of Commerce and restaurant industry sources.
Other well-known franchises operating in Puerto Rico include 7-Eleven, SuperCuts, Curves, ServiceMaster and hundreds more.
LA BOXING grew to 51 franchised gyms in 14 states and 1 U.S. commonwealth since September, 2004, when it began its franchise marketing program. The Company anticipates growing at the rate of 3 to 4 franchises per month in 2007.
LA BOXING is the gym of preference for amateur and professional athletes and people in the mainstream who are dedicated to leading fit and healthy lives.
Potential LA BOXING franchisees are required to pay a $25,000 franchise fee which is included in the $95,400 to $109,650 of capital needed to get started. Location options range from retail strip shopping centers to freestanding commercial buildings.
