VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, In an effort to help Americans understand the tax implications of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and to offer health insurance enrollment assistance, Liberty Tax Service and its franchisees will open many of their offices across the country on November 15.
The 2014 Tax Year is the first in which Americans and legal residents in the country will be required to show proof of health insurance coverage as part of their income tax return. According to IRS Commissioner, John Koskinen, the implementation of the ACA, along with other factors, could make 2015 one of the most complicated tax seasons in a long time.
