Nick N Willy's Pizza Franchise Worthy of "World Famous" Title

Nick N Willy's World Famous Pizza, run by family members Jim Moaddab and Massoud Abedinzadeh, has taken the old pizza standard and kicked it up several California notches.

With a quality you can taste, Nick N Willy's delivers fresh, gourmet pizzas to an adoring customer base. With a "no freezers - no microwaves" policy, Nick N Willy's pizzas consist of hand-tossed dough made from scratch daily topped with a huge combination of six fresh chesses, four sauces and 25 toppings. That's a lot of variety, people!

Prices are super reasonable, too. A personal pizza is just $5.49; a medium is $13.99; large is $16.99 and family size is $18.99 for a Signature Pizzas.

On this visit, I brought along back up to help me taste the massive variety of pizzas Nick N Willy's has to offer. Here's the rundown:

The Aegean pizza is their mos popular and it's easy to see why. This pizza knocked our socks off! With mozzarella, garlic, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese and oregano, the combo is fresh, colorful and has a great garlic flavor. The Roman Feta Pesto pizza, with its pine nut pesto, mozzarella, marinated artichoke hearts, sliced Roma tomatos and feta cheese is fantastico! This pizza is a real beauty; the toppings are generous, the pesto tastes great and the feta cheese made it a bit unusual. Loved it! The Mediterranean has mozzarella, fresh garlic, marinated artichoke hearts, fresh spinach, Roma tomatoes and feta cheese.

Crave some meat on your pie? Then try the Outback, Magellan or Little Nell's Chicken BBQ pizzas. The Outback has smoked bacon, zesty garlic sauce, green and red peppers, Roma tomatoes, and a combination of mozzarella, cheddar, and provolone cheeses. The Cajun-inspired Magellan pizza includes spicy andoulle sausage, fresh sliced tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms as well as fontina and mozzarella cheeses - yum! Little Nell's is piled high with sweet barbecue chicken, fresh cilantro and red onions.

Need a little adventure? How about some island inspiration or maybe a trip south of the border? The Big Kahuna takes tropical to another dimension. Sweet pineapple and mandarin oranges hanging out with Canadian bacon is always a fun time. The Fresh Jalapeno Burn is a kick in the head with slices of (surprise!) fresh jalapeno in every bite. You choose between spicy sausage, chicken breast or seasoned beef. Keep your drink handy because this one's warm! As if all these signature pizzas aren't enough, Nick N Willy's gives you the option of designing your own custom creation.

Okay, let's talk about desserts. Not only is Jim a nice, community-oriented businessman, he is also a chef who worked several years for Wolfgang Puck. Those years in Wolf's service and Jim's own chefly abilities helped him create the Apple Crisp Pizza. This dessert pizza is one of the coolest ideas I've seen in a long time. Fresh apples with a cinnamon streusel topping are baked on a think pizza crust and then drizzled with a brown sugar-cinnamon glaze. This dessert will blow your mind - it's that good!

Jim and Massoud are all about customer service and a friendly atmosphere. In a hurry? No problem. They offer "Grab-N-Go" - fresh-made pizzas, desserts and a variety of large and small salads in their deli case. Just run in, and grab what you want and you're out the door and on your way.

This Take-N-Bake concept is their foundation. You can call ahead and order on of their signature pizzas, or your own custom pizza, pick it up and cook it at home. These TNB pizzas come with cooking instructions and can even be prepared on your barbeque grill - talk about California style!
