![]() Omega Learning Center Franchise offering begins in October![]() Posted on October 29, 2007 by Bryan Nisperos After just two years in business, local family-owned and operated "Omega Learning Center," is going national. The center, which provides private supplemental education to students ages four to adult, will be offered as a regional franchise beginning in June. The plan is to open 90 units in Georgia within 5 years and then expand to Florida and the Carolinas. Owned by Cobb residents Joyce Smith and her daughters Kim Bethune and Kathy Keeton, "Omega" is not only a family-business, but family-oriented as well. Recognizing a great need for a convenient tutoring center that would employ the best local teachers and utilize state-of-the-art technology, the three entrepreneurs researched all aspects of the tutoring business extensively. They developed a unique software system to facilitate communication between the students' parents and even the students' teachers at school. In May, 2005, they opened the doors of their first location outside the entrance of Brookstone Country Club in West Cobb. The quick success of this center led to the opening of a second location at the entrance of Bentwater Country Club in Paulding County in May, 2006. At that time, they also decided to begin the nine month long franchising process with the largest franchise building company in the world, Francorp. Now, as they celebrate their two year anniversary at Brookstone and one year at Bentwater, the franchise process is complete. This June, Omega Learning Center, Franchisor LLC is offering regional franchise opportunities around Atlanta.
