Play N Trade to Award $2,500 Grand Prize to National Halo 3 Champion

Additional Prizes Include Halo 3 “Dream System” and Accessories

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif.,– Play N Trade Franchise, Inc., one of the fastest-growing franchises worldwide, today announced the National Halo 3 Tournament, which will award prizes of $2,500 in-store credit, a Halo 3 “Dream System,” and H3 controllers and headsets. Local rounds will be held Oct. 27 or Oct. 28 at participating Play N Trade stores across the country, and the national tournament will be held Nov. 3 at 1:30 p.m. ET.

“Halo 3 is the biggest entertainment launch ever in the U.S., and gamers are ready for big tournament play,” said Ron Simpson, founder of Play N Trade. “We have more than 90 stores open nationwide, making this our largest tournament yet. The great prizes we are giving away add to the excitement for participants and spectators alike.”

The second place winner will receive a Halo “Dream System” which includes a 360 Halo edition, and an additional H3 controller and wireless headset, and a set of H3 controllers and headsets is the prize for third place.

Tournament registration is open now and the entry fee is $10. Game mode for local and national rounds will be Slayer. The national championship is multiple round/ single elimination play. Local tournament dates and times are determined by participating Play N Trade stores, and may be either single or double elimination. The winner from each round will advance to play in the next round, with seeds decided by random shuffle.
