Award Presented by International Franchise Association

NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., – Play N Trade Franchise, Inc. today announced that Manuel Velez, owner of the Play N Trade video game store in Hatillo, Puerto Rico, was honored by the International Franchise Association as a Franchisee of the Year. The award is given to IFA-member company franchisees in recognition of their outstanding performance and the contributions they have made to enhance the growth and development of the nation’s franchising industry.

The IFA Franchisee of the Year Awards were presented during the IFA’s Eighth Annual Franchise Appreciation Day celebration in the nation’s capital. In addition to the awards ceremony, attendees met with congressional lawmakers and staff to discuss key issues facing the franchise industry.

“The Play N Trade culture is built around people like Manuel who always put the customers and the franchise first,” said Ron Simpson, Play N Trade founder and chief training and support officer. “He will tell you how lucky he was to become a Play N Trade franchisee, but in fact, Play N Trade is lucky to have him.”

“My association with Play N Trade has allowed me to realize my dream of being a successful small business owner, and I am very proud to accept this award,” Velez said. “The opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. and represent Play N Trade at the Franchise Appreciation Day ceremony and congressional meetings is a great honor.”
