Roger Harris Of Padgett Business Services™ Appears on IRS Live Web-cast to Discuss the Electronic IRS

ATHENS, Ga.– Roger Harris, President and COO of Padgett Business Services®, recently participated in a panel of tax experts in the May web-cast of Tax Talk Today.  The IRS offers Tax Talk Today as a free, live, monthly interactive web-cast to educate tax professionals with contemporary and complex issues. This is the fourth time that Harris has been chosen to appear on Tax Talk Today panel.

Tax Talk Today included Harris in this panel, as well as three other panels in the past, because of his expert knowledge and extensive experience in accounting and small business issues.  Acting on behalf of both Padgett Business Services® and associations of tax practitioners, Harris has testified several times on IRS and small business issues to both the Senate and House Small Business Committees and the House Ways and Means Committee.

Harris was also appointed to the Internal Revenue Service Advisory Council that provides a public forum for raising, studying and making recommendations on tax administration issues, as well as IRS restructuring and modernization. 

The title of the May 13 show was “The Electronic IRS…More than just e-file”.  The panelists discussed the various electronic options available to tax preparers, how these tools affect the practitioner community, and expected changes for 2009.
