Sarasota's Outdoor Lighting Experts, NiteLites, to Help Sponsor the Annual "Tropical Nights" - Meals On Wheels Annual Fundraising Event

Randy and Becky White, local owners and operators of NiteLites of Sarasota are participating in the annual fundraising event ‘Tropical Nights’ which will be held at the home of Darrell and Mary Ann Turner of Turner Tree and Landscape.  The proceeds from this event will benefit the area Meals On Wheels Program.

Tropical Nights is an annual event and the largest fundraiser of the year for the area’s Meals On Wheels Program.  The evening includes specialty cocktails, Cajun style gourmet cuisine, street performers, raffles, auctions, and bands in Northwest Bradenton.  Outdoor lighting company, NiteLites has joined with other members of the organization to help sponsor this event.

Since 1972, Meals on Wheels PLUS of Manatee has provided nutritional assistance and supportive services to individuals in their homes or in centers throughout Manatee County.  Where there is a need, Meals on Wheels PLUS makes it a goal to fill that need.  The organization has continued to add essential services such as health monitoring, adult day center, outreach services and more.  Although some of their operating funds come from local and federal government, over 60 percent of the funds needed are raised through donations, grants, and fund raising projects. 

The Whites are active in the Sarasota / Bradenton community area.  Ms. White explains, “We love to give to worthy local charities, and we feel fortunate to be able to participate in fundraising events like ‘Tropical Nights’ for Meals on Wheels.” The owners of NiteLites of Sarasota are also sponsors of other local events.
