SARASOTA, Fla. Signs Now, A Division of Allegra Network LLC, recently held elections for new seats for the company’s Franchise Advisory Board (FAB), and has named Kristin Trevino and Travis Masters as its two newest members. Both members will serve on the FAB until 2011. The FAB is comprised of seven elected franchisee representatives and three appointed representatives from Signs Now headquarters. Kristin Trevino, owner of Signs Now Northwest, consisting of four Portland-area Signs Now centers, will represent the Northwest region. After nearly 10 years of involvement with the family run business, the Dan and Kristin Trevino acquired Signs Now Northwest in March of 2005. They recently sold their three Seattle area locations to focus continued growth on the Portland market. The business has been on the upswing for several years through combination of regional economic improvement, customer satisfaction, new products and aggressive marketing. Travis Masters, owner of the Signs Now franchise in Largo, Fla. will represent the Southeast region. Masters was recently named the 2006 Signs Now Franchisee of the Year. Signs Now Largo experienced a 53 percent sales increase in 2006, just the second year under Masters’ ownership. He credits his store’s expanded service base and customer satisfaction for the continued increase in sales figures over the last several years. Largo Signs Now is also the Official Signage Partner of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. “We are very excited to have Kristin and Travis elected to the Franchise Advisory Board,” remarked Bernard Haun, Signs Now vice president of marketing and communications. “They have proved to be two of our top franchisees and will bring excellent business knowledge and innovation to the board.” The FAB was established to provide a forum for the discussion of company plans, programs and concerns with its franchise owners. The objectives of the FAB include the participation in initial development of programs; feedback on purpose, goals and direction of programs; the insurance of accountability; to increase participation of all franchise owners in company programs; and improved feedback on the effectiveness of company programs. Other FAB members include Cheryl Thomas from Fort Collins, Colo. representing the At Large seat, Doug Henderson from Thunder Bay, Ontario representing Canada, Tim Anderson from Rockford, Ill. representing another At Large seat, Chuck Achterberg from Branson, Missouri representing the Midwest region, and Dan Phillips from Evansville, Ind. representing the Northeast region.
