Cuppy’s Coffee, Smoothies & More Celebrates the Grand Opening of two new Michigan locations

Jackson, MI  –Cuppy’s Coffee, Smoothies & More is opening two additional locations in Michigan this month, and has big plans for expansion over the next five years. The first mall kiosk to open this month is located in the Southland Center in Taylor, MI and is celebrating its Grand Opening Tuesday December 11, 2007. The second mall location is a kiosk/café and is celebrating its Grand Opening December 15, 2007 in the Westwood Mall in Jackson, MI.

The ambitious owners of the two Cuppy’s Coffee kiosks, Todd and Kelly McPherson, have been busy getting their stores open before the holiday rush. The McPhersons are scheduled to open another kiosk/café location in the Lakeview Square Mall in Battle Creek, MI in April of 2008. “Our goal is to open a minimum of 10 Cuppy’s Coffee locations and expand our goal. We love Cuppy’s and we really want this to become our life,” said Kelly McPherson.

The coffee and smoothie franchise currently has an open store in Clinton Township, MI and is opening additional locations in Clawson and in Farmington Hills, MI. “Cuppy’s is experiencing tremendous growth in the suburbs of Detroit,” said Amy Hiller, VP of Operations for Cuppy’s Coffee, Smoothies & More. “In addition to the current growth we have seen in Michigan, there are five potential franchisees looking to open a location in the Detroit area over the next year.” Cuppy’s Coffee projects a total of 20 locations in the Detroit area over the next five years.

According to Kelly, “We have had only positive responses on our products at Cuppy’s. The communities in Taylor and in Jackson are looking forward to having us as a permanent fixture in the malls.” The Jackson mall location offers comfortable seating around the kiosk and will be run like a café, featuring different types of entertainment throughout the week. “We will have Art Night every Tuesday and different performances on the weekends, such as storytellers, bands, puppeteers and jugglers. We are really excited to bring the entertainers right inside the mall!” Local artists can contact the McPhersons about performing by signing up under the entertainment job description.
