Tasti D-Lite Launches its Franchise Program with Current Licensees![]() Posted on May 12, 2008 by Bill Dube Existing Tasti D-Lite Owners Sign Franchise Agreements with Tasti D-Lite LLC (New York, NY) Tasti D-Lite, New York’s favorite guilt-free dessert is ready to remodel a majority of existing retail centers with the new Tasti D-Lite brand image. As of last week, the owners of 38 existing independently owned and operated centers, located primarily in New York City, finalized franchise conversion agreements with the Tasti D-Lite management team. Two additional stores have been purchased by the company. These stores, previously independent licensees, will re-open as Tasti D-Lite franchises beginning this spring. The stores are primarily located in New York City and surrounding areas. Most will remain open through remodeling. The company also announced that it will introduce new Tasti D-Lite flavors as well as other new products in the coming months. These new flavors and products will only be available at franchised Tasti D-Lite locations. “Tasti D-Lite couldn’t be happier that so many existing owners have agreed to join our team and convert their stores,” says CEO Jim Amos. “These owners are the ones who have made Tasti DLite a New York phenomenon, and we look forward to building on their success transforming their stores into the new look and feel of Tasti D-Lite.” Newly converted Franchisee Bruce Weiss adds, “It is clear that Tasti D Lite LLC has already spent an enormous amount of time money and effort and has assembled a very impressive team with great expertise, vision, passion and dedication that will no doubt make this brand the number one frozen dessert in our category in a very short time." For over 20 years, Tasti D-Lite was sold through more than 60 independently owned and operated locations throughout New York. Now, Gotham’s favorite healthy frozen treat has a fresh image that is being taken worldwide. Tasti D-Lite plans to build a 500-center franchise network in just five years.
