Velocity Sports Performance And National Strength And Conditioning Association Team - Up To Provide A New Standard In Coaching

ALISO VIEJO, CA - Velocity Sports Performance, specializing in advanced sports performance training for athletes of all ages and skill levels, today announced a partnership with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  The alliance creates the Career Resources Program, aimed at dramatically increasing the caliber of newly-certified, professional coaches and placing them in meaningful careers upon completion of the NSCA certification programs.

The Career Resources Programs was developed by the NSCA and Velocity Sports Performance to improve the quality of internship programs that prepare and funnel well-qualified, certified coaches directly into careers at leading facilities like Velocity Sports Performance centers.  Upon completion of a three-month curriculum developed by Velocity Sports Performance and the NSCA, candidates will be prepared for an NCSA certification exam and will also meet the entry qualifications necessary to step into a coaching position at any Velocity Sports Performance center and begin work.

The Velocity Sports Performance/NSCA internship, which may be implemented in all Velocity Sports Performance franchises nationwide, is intended to provide participants with practical experience in the highly competitive sports performance training industry.   The curriculum based program will expose selected interns to the latest techniques for developing flexibility, speed, strength and power.  In addition, interns will be exposed to operations, marketing and business development.

Additionally a National Recruitment Program, supervised by the NSCA’s Career Center, will prominently feature Velocity Sports Performance on its national job board which receives more than 1,000 hits a day. Velocity Sports Performance will also host career days at the NSCA’s two national conventions.   The programs will be officially introduced this summer.
