Wardrobes Across Texas Are Getting "RESTYLED"![]() Posted on March 12, 2007 by Restyle Consignment Store Announces Plans for Statewide Expansion FRISCO, TX – Out with the old, in with the (partially) new. Clothing resale has flourished into a multi-billion dollar industry and Restyle, an upscale consignment clothing store, is providing women the opportunity to make their fashion dreams come true. Setting the standard for the resale industry, the concept has plans to expand throughout Texas –offering Lone Star State women a new possibility in fashion and business. Restyle owner and founder, Valerie McKenzie, is no stranger to the fashion and resale business. With 15 years of experience in the retail industry, McKenzie has teamed with Gary Findley, former president and franchise-builder of Curves International, who now leads the Findley Group, a franchise consulting and development company, to open franchise locations throughout Texas. “As a franchise, we’re looking forward to opening our doors by way of expanding our brand in Texas,” McKenzie said. “Restyle is an affordable opportunity to own your own business, help customers make money and update their wardrobe without the high department store prices.” Restyle is an entirely new kind of shopping experience – an upscale boutique environment offering gently used and new name-brand clothing and accessories. The store offers a warm, classy atmosphere filled with quality products. The franchise has three locations in Frisco, Austin and Pearland, Texas. Restyle and the Findley Group are taking a strategic, gradual approach to growth projecting to open 15 stores in Texas this year. The company plans to have a total of 40 locations operating throughout the state by the end of 2009. In addition to regional growth, Restyle is calling for 100 stores to open nationally by the end of 2009. “This concept has a proven business model that offers franchisees the opportunity to own and operate a business with a high quality product and reputable brand name,” Findley said. “Fashion is ever-changing and new clothes will always be in-demand with consumers. Restyle has countless benefits for owning a resale franchise; including low overhead, an endless amount of inventory and a returning clientele.” Restyle is looking for franchisees that have the drive and energy to own and operate their own business. The average startup cost to open a Restyle franchise ranges between $35,000 and $45,000, which is all inclusive. Before opening, a franchisee can easily obtain starting inventory through friends and family. Stores operate out of leased space in shopping centers/strip malls and typically range between 1,800-2,500 square feet. Store hours vary from market to market, but usually are open six days a week from 10 a.m. through early evening. While some Restyle franchisees own and operate their store themselves, they can also choose to hire one or two part-time employees to work in the store, allowing the franchisee to focus on other aspects of the business, such as marketing in the community. “We offer an affordable investment opportunity for entrepreneurs who are interested in fashion and retail,” McKenzie said. “Restyle offers franchisees a proven business model as well as initial and ongoing franchisee support. Being surrounded by trendy clothes at an affordable cost – for me that’s an ideal way to make a living.” About Restyle Founded in 2004, Restyle is an upscale consignment store that sells and purchases gently used name brand clothing and accessories.
