Enthusiastic Response to Best Customer Service, Products and Prices in Town

The award was presented to store co-owners, brothers Steve and Theyaa Matti, by the South Lyon Herald.

Another unique feature of the South Lyon Yakety Yak wireless superstore is the “Yak Swap” program, a convenient, environmentally-friendly trade-in program for used cell phones. Customers bring in their old cell phones and have the “Blue Book” value of the phone assessed for an instant in-store credit or cash, making it easy to responsibly recycle and also offset the cost of new equipment.

“E-waste is a community concern, and the Yak Swap program is sensible alternative to discarding cell phones that contain lead, cadmium and mercury and cannot be safely dumped in landfills,” Steve said. “As members of the community, we are very concerned about the amount of e-waste and the Yak Swap recycling program is an important part of the solution.”
