ZPizza Takes Atlanta By Storm

Gourmet Pizza Chain to Open 19 Restaurants, Three in 2007

Newport Beach, CA, — zpizza, the Southern California based gourmet pizza chain, recently signed three separate multi-unit franchising deals to expand throughout Atlanta. The three deals, all of which closed in the past month, yield 19 new restaurants for the Atlanta area. zpizza expects to open three of the 19 stores in 2007.

zpizza’s newest Atlanta franchisees include; father, son duo Paul and Brian Shaw, Alpharetta resident Danny Kim and Vistacor Partners, LLC. Paul and Brian Shaw will develop five units; the first is expected to open in Marietta in June. Danny Kim plans to open five restaurants in northern Atlanta—his territory includes Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, Roswell, and Dunwoody.

“I used to eat at zpizza when I was in college at University of California, Irvine,” says Mr. Kim. “I love the concept and can’t wait to introduce it to Atlanta residents.”

Vistacor Partners LLC is the third Atlanta developer and a veteran zpizza franchisee. Vistacor Partners already has a 12 unit territory in Virginia and just signed on to a nine unit territory in Atlanta. The company is currently in the process of finding a location but they expect to open their first zpizza by the end of the year.

Often referred to as the Chipotle or Panera Bread of the pizza industry, zpizza takes a unique approach to the crowded pizza segment, offering a large selection of premium quality and creative pizzas. zpizza’s menu offers 15 tasty and adventurous pizzas as well as sandwiches, salads, calzones and the opportunity to create your own pizza with a selection of crusts— including “winter” wheat, organic sauces, low-fat cheeses, veggies and toppings.

zpizza has 60 locations open nationwide and another 200 in ongoing development in 15 states. The company expects to have more than 100 open units by mid 2008.
