How Does Financing Work?

100% financing including working capital is available on approved credit. For many DSS clients, the initial financing package covers the entire cost of opening their store - and includes working capital! We travel to personally see each of our suppliers on a regular basis where we inspect new dollar store merchandise to assure high value and quality, and to review hot, new merchandise. Then, we negotiate rock-bottom prices on behalf of our network. The hot, new merchandise we approve is loaded into a secure website for all store owners to use. We update new product information weekly and email this directly to our store owners. A constant flow of new goods into your store is key to keeping customers coming back and building your average transaction--we work with you to maximize this key component of your merchandise plan.


Training and Support:

Training is designed to ensure that each new owner is familiar with the many aspects of managing their store. This experience begins before and continues well after the store's opening. Your trainer will be in contact with you both before and after the store has opened. This training will include a full review of a comprehensive operations manual and related materials designed to aid you in operating your store on a day-to-day basis. Our training program features a combination of online and personal phone training. This format allows our new store owners to train on their own schedule, and have after opening access to the key training modules for future reference--of course your trainer is ALWAYS available to you at any time for needed support.


Store Set up and Top Quality Fixtures:

We create the "Cadillac" of Dollar and Dollar Plus Stores, as we want to make an incredible presentation to your customer base. We supply steel framed gondolas with pegboard backing, beautiful cash counters with impulse feature areas, specialty fixtures, shopping carts and baskets, electronic cash registers and much more. All merchandise counters are six feet tall, and we use eight foot tall slatboard with melamine finish on all interior walls to maximize the display space within your store. All store fixtures are bright white in color for a clean, modern look. We do not supply flooring but when it is needed the landlord will generally provide it at no cost.

Our fixtures for your Dollar or Dollar Plus store are designed to be used on higher priced goods as well, so they can be used for many, many years. We also give you an allowance for the outdoor sign. Our interior signage package is the best in the industry , and includes perimeter wall signs, overhead and window signage, department markers, a full seasonal and holiday sign package, grand opening signage, and much more !

We send a professional installer and labor crew to the store location to install the slat board and all fixtures. Then, the work crew will stock merchandise and ready the store for the grand opening.

This is NOT a Dollar or Dollar Plus Store franchise: YOU are the owner of the store and have 100% control over all aspects of your business. Since we are NOT a franchise, there are no ongoing royalties or fees, but you DO receive permanent long-term support and access to the purchasing network. From the beginning you have total control over all decisions regarding YOUR store, including site location, store layout, timing of opening and merchandise.


Long Term Support:

Once your store is open the real work begins. You are assigned a New Store Coordinator who will remain in very regular contact with you for at minimum the first 90 days of your store’s operation. They will review new merchandise and suppliers, assist you in placing replenishment orders , get you ready for every upcoming season and holiday, evaluate your sales by category, and help source requested items. After the first 90 days, your store will move to a Long Term Coordinators desk, who will provide this same support for the life of your business.
