Second Annual Healing Hands for Arthritis
Massage envy and the Arthritis Foundation have team up the second annual Healing Hands for Arthritis event. Healing Hands for Arthritis is a national one-day event that tries to raise awareness and funds to help fight arthritis. In 2011, Massage Envy franchisees raised nearly $500,000 for the Arthritis Foundation. This year, $10 from every 1-hour massage will be donated to the Arthritis Foundation; all of Massage Envy's nearly 800 locations are participating in the event this year. The second annual Healing Hands for Arthritis will be held on September 19, 2012.

Healing Hands for Arthritis will provide support for arthritis education, research, advocacy and other vital programs and services," said Dr. John H. Klippel, CEO and President of the Arthritis Foundation.
"We were overwhelmed by the tremendous support we received for Healing Hands for Arthritis last year and hope that even more of our members and guests come out on September 19th to help fight Arthritis, a disease that affects 50 million Americans," says Paula Stapley, Direction of Communications for Massage Envy. In addition to $10 for every 1-hour massage, Murad®, Massage Envy's exclusive skin care partner, will donate 10 percent of all sales to the Arthritis Foundation.
Massage Envy is also a sponsor of the Foundation's signature event, Arthritis Walk®. Envy franchise owners across the country have and will continue to show support for arthritis events and teach people the benefits massage can have on arthritis pain and swelling.
