Maui Wowi's CEO `Smooths' the Path for System's Multi-Unit Operators
 Maui Wowi Fresh Hawaiian Blends, the leading franchisor of Hawaiian Blend gourmet products, has captured market ownership within the impulse-buy, all-natural beverage industry with an invincible concept and record growth. That's due largely in part to the efforts of the company's progressive CEO, Michael Haith, and his "fresh blend" of creative strategies to grow the franchise by attracting more opportunities than the current franchise owners can currently fulfill with programs that boost the appeal of multi-unit ownership despite 85% YTD growth of franchised units by current franchisees!
Haith bought out Maui Wowi's original franchise partners in 2000. Since entering the scene, he has helped Maui Wowi grow more than 909% in the last 36 months, for a total of 286 units operating throughout the United States and Puerto Rico and the licensed rights for current franchisees to build another 420.
He has successfully taken the company to the next level, expanding its product line and excelling growth through aggressive marketing, brand recognition programs and by attracting an increasing number of multi-unit franchisees. Under his leadership, Maui Wowi recently implemented a Director of Regional Support (DRS) Program, which is designed to provide more effective local support services for franchisees while increasing the opportunities for potential new franchise locations and venues.
"We receive 75 requests for information a day and 80 applications for franchises a week," Haith said. "Our multi-unit operators are people looking for a solid business investment with an attractive return on investment and not a lot of administrative hassles with our royalty-free concept. In addition to Fresh Fruit Blends and their Island Espresso Line, they've also added Maui Wowi Smoothie Rip- Sticks, all natural, fat-free, squeeze-ups made up of all fruit and yogurt in addition to its signature all natural pre-blended smoothies (an all-natural blend of fresh fruit, non-fat yogurt).
