Chem-Dry Ranks 46th in Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top Franchises List

Chem-Dry, a leading carpet cleaning franchise opportunity in the United States, has announced their continued inclusion on Entrepreneur Magazine's Top Franchises List for the 24^th consecutive year. Chem-Dry ranks 46^th out of 500 franchises ranked, this is up 10 spots from their 56^th ranking last year. Chem-Dry is the highest ranking carpet cleaning franchise on Entrepreneur's list.

Chem-Dry was also ranked on other lists from Entrepreneur. The company ranked 9 of 10 low-cost franchises and 12^th on the 2012 list of top home-based franchises. Dan Tarantin, president and CEO of Chem-Dry's parent company Harris Research Inc., is quoted saying: "Our ranking reflects our company's excellence and consistency" and "our longstanding presence on the Entrepreneur list demonstrates the success and staying power of our franchise system, which consists of more than 3,500 units around the world."

The company has differentiated itself as a 'green' cleaning franchise by using a carbonated water system, which uses about 20% of the water regular cleaning systems use. Carpet cleaning using the carbonated system usually dries within one to two hours compared to one or two days; this results in a cleaner and drier carpet. Taratin say Chem-Dry began using their carbonated system "long before the term [green] was fashionable."
