![]() Kiddie Academy Reports Success in 2011![]() Posted on February 15, 2012 by Ben Baggett Kiddie Academy, a child-care educational franchise, has just reported their continued growth and development throughout 2011, even though there were lingering effects of the economy's recession. The company announced 25 preliminary franchise agreements, 71 franchises in development, and 13 new franchise openings. Kiddie Academy's 2011 fiscal year (Oct 2010-Sept 2011) broke numerous company records for averages over the past five years. The company has seen larger growth in the South, California, and Mid-Atlantic areas. Greg Helwig, President of Kiddie Academy, said: "Our growth during 2011 demonstrates that those interested in our industry see the value of our business- a demand for high quality, educational child care in communities- and see that Kiddie Academy has a successful, proven business model." Helwig is excited to see the growth continue into 2012 for all franchisees. Sue Hilger, Vice President of Franchise Development, sees a trend emerging for new franchisees at Kiddie Academy. Partners are starting to invest in themselves instead of using loans. Many people are taking money from underperforming 401k and investment portfolios, and putting those dollars to use by funding a business instead. "Since 401k funds can often be used with little to no penalty fees, or taxes, putting those funds to work in a Kiddie Academy is appealing," says Hilger.
