![]() Right at Home Franchisees exceeding a million dollars in Sales!![]() Posted on May 11, 2011 by Stephan Baldwin Right at home, a well known In-Home Care franchise, has just completed an amazing year for the franchise and their franchisees. Right at Home’s FDD’s for 2011 showed that close to a third of their franchisees posted over a million dollars in sales during the year of 2010. "We are proud to have so many of our franchisees above the million-dollar mark. Our franchisees are truly incredible people. The fact that most of them started this business without any prior home care experience is a testament to their hard work and dedication to helping others." Right at Home’s Senior VP of franchise development, Eric Little said. "At the corporate office, we also work tirelessly to provide industry-leading training and support, and to provide franchisees with the tools they need to differentiate themselves in their local markets." The United States currently has a population of 300 million people; almost 13% of those are part of the senior community. Entrepreneur Robert Scandura moved into the senior care industry 4 years ago after caring for his grandparents for two decades. He is now a current franchisee with Right at Home and is the highest earner with almost 10 million in sales last year. Robert Scandura had this to say: "In just four short years, my business has 300 caregivers and over 100 families that we work with consistently, my heart and soul is in my business and taking the calculated risk has really paid off. I love what I do and fortunately I make a good living doing it." A former executive in the publishing industry, Ted Bernhardt left his 25 year career to become a Right at Home franchise owner as well. "When I first signed on to become a franchisee with Right at Home, I had no health services experience, but I knew how to manage a business." Bernhardt said. "I figured the franchise would teach me what I needed to know about the senior care industry and I’d rely on my management background to grow my business. Today, I have about 190 caregivers who serve 260 families which accounted for over $5 million in sales last year." These are just two testimonials of the current 57 other Right at Home franchisees that saw sales over the $1 million dollar mark in 2010. These franchisees have successful offices delivering three levels of client assistance: Companionship; Personal Care; and Light Skilled Nursing. "Companionship can include cooking, cleaning and running errands, but most often it's about being a friend to the client, spending time with them," Little said. "Personal Care requires a little more, such as helping the client get out of the bed and into the shower or helping them get around the house. Light Skilled Nursing includes administering medications or perhaps dressing a wound. It's a higher-touch role." In these challenging economic times, Right at Home is an attractive opportunity to potential franchisees. Their low cost investment makes this ideal for business professionals with a passion for helping in their community and protecting their personal investments. Right at Home provides these entrepreneurs with proven systems for marketing their business through strong referrals. This is one of few businesses that have seen growth during these hard economic times. "Our average office revenue grew 28.3 percent in 2010, and we've got well established offices that are eight to nine years old are still growing 16.4 percent," Little said. "While one of our goals is to add new franchise partners to our system, our main focus is helping our existing franchisees expand their businesses."
