![]() ServiceMaster Clean Awards Scholarship![]() Posted on October 06, 2011 by Ben Baggett Peter Mason of Phoenix, Arizona, has been awarded the Shane Battier Franchise Scholarship from ServiceMaster Clean. The scholarship helps individuals by awarding them a commercial cleaning license (over $30,000 value). Each entrant had to write a 1,500 word essay describing how they could utilize the organization's corporate objectives when running their own cleaning franchise. Mason was drawn to the organization because of their commitment to helping others improve and build a diverse work group. He was also interested because of the exceptional support for business owners who have just started their business. One of the primary objectives for the Shane Battier Scholarship is to expand the ServiceMaster Clean franchisee base among women and minorities. The program, named after basketball player Shane Battier, was started to help those individuals who may need help in starting and running a success franchise. ServiceMaster Clean has committed to place over $1.3 million in grants and private financing as part of the Shane Battier franchise scholarship.
