Speaker 1: Hi, my name is Bob Harvey, Founder of SILVER CROSS. With the government discussing budget issues and expenditure and increasing healthcare costs, along with the aging population, recycled healthcare equipment just makes sense. I founded SILVER CROSS with the idea of offering a lower cost alternative for home healthcare equipment, so that people could maintain their lifestyle independently in their own home. What I saw also was that most people were asking for used equipment as a viable alternative to new. The market for home healthcare equipment, especially recycled equipment, is growing leaps and bounds in the next four decades as the population ages. We have expanded our system at SILVER CROSS across North America, currently covering about 80 percent of the two countries, the U.S.A. and Canada. The products we offer are accessibility and mobility equipment. Product like stair lifts, porch lifts, ceiling lifts, patient lifts, rolling showers, scooters, wheelchairs, any product that can really assist someone in maintaining independence and stay in their own home. We chose expansion through franchising because we saw the need for people that really want to be self-employed, not start from scratch, but be connected to our group, a strong group across North America to share recycled equipment and the buying power on new. At the core of SILVER CROSS are five key individuals that have accumulatively 60 years of experience in regards to implementation of the SILVER CROSS brand across North America. SILVER CROSS is unique in a number of key ways. We dominate the web within our industry. We offer recycled equipment. We offer to buy back equipment. We combine new with recycled equipment to make more solutions happen for the end user. There’s also environmental issues. Recycling just simply allows equipment to not hit the landfill site. Most of our products last about 15 years, so they can be recycled 3 or 4 times during your lifespan. We assist healthcare professionals on who they can help. We expand the quantity of people that are able to get the products they need to maintain their independence, and family members really appreciate the fact that we can allow them to get the products they need to maintain their lifestyle. We have a client portfolio of over 200,000 people, and our goal is to educate every single inquiry in regards to the products that meet their specific needs and to also help them from a funding prospective.
