Speaker 1: Hi, Iím Mark Rell. I am the Owner of SILVER CROSS in Simcoe, Ontario. Before becoming a franchisee for SILVER CROSS, my wife and I both worked out working for other companies, for other people. We decided that, at that point, because of our backgrounds, it was time that we tried to go out and venture on our own, and we found SILVER CROSS. Being your own boss gives you the opportunity to see the public and talk to people from all walks of life. You donít have restrictions as far as being say in an office, being confined, to being just in one place for X number of hours in a day. You have a lot of different roles, responsibilities, but itís really satisfying. What SILVER CROSS head office does is, it provides the franchisees with a way to understand the business, gives them insight into the business and also give the franchisee a chance to understand the business the better. The demand for SILVER CROSS and equipment that SILVER CROSS sells has increased significantly in recent years due to the fact that the aging population is now staying in their homes longer. Thereís less stay in hospitals, so people are discharged quicker. SILVER CROSS reaches out to people in the community in many different ways. Some of which is advertising in the local papers, talking to different people in agencies that will be effecting the seniors in the community, also through therapists that also talk to seniors, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, agencies in the community that deal with seniors are a big resource for SILVER CROSS. The SILVER CROSS advantage is that we do recycle equipment, and we have been recycling equipment for many years, so that gives the customer a choice. In the market, they donít have to just buy new. If they buy recycled, they are saving a huge dollar amount. Also, it gives them a choice for us to buy back at the end of the term of the use of the equipment, which is a huge factor in the market for us today. I am Mark Rell, and this is my video bio.
