Provide an overview\/ description of your industry.  Include reasons why it’s a great industry to
\nstart a business in today.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The average age of a vehicle on the
\nroad today has increased substantially over the past few years.  Customers are keeping their cars 11 years on
\naverage which means the need for preventive maintenance and automotive repair
\nis on the increase. Cars are definitely lasting longer and consumers are keeping
\nthem far beyond the original warranty.  
\nIn addition, cars are much more complicated and require more specialized
\nservices than in years past.  The number
\nof customers who can "do it yourself" is on the decrease.  <\/p>\n

How has your industry changed in the last 10 years?  20 years?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Preventive maintenance has become key
\nto increasing the longevity of vehicles. 
\nDue to the difficulty of do it yourself auto repair, more customers are
\nfinding a need to have an established relationship with an automotive repair shop.  In addition, there has been a need for
\nautomotive service repair shops to be able to handle bumper to bumper repair
\nin essence doing away with shops that only cover specialized repair
\nservices.  Our co-brand model was
\nspecifically created to address that need a one stop automotive repair shop
\nable to handle the small repair to more complicated and specialized
\ntransmission repair.   <\/p>\n

What trends do you see in your industry over the next 5
\nyears?  Next 10 years?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Over the next 5 years, we see the
\naverage vehicle age increasing as well as miles driven increasing compared to
\nthe 2008 nationwide decrease.  With
\nvehicle age increases and the complex computer controls required to keep them
\nrunning, we see an increase in those needing ongoing maintenance and repair
\nservices rather than trying to tackle the repairs themselves.<\/p>\n

What is the biggest concern about your industry that a franchisee
\ncandidate should be aware of and investigate?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The biggest concern is the industry
\nnational bay shortage.  Service Stations
\nand Repair Centers operated more service bays than they did 4 years earlier,
\nhowever due to the 35,000 bays removed from the dealerships; this has created
\nthe largest national bay shortage on record. 
\nFrom 2008 2010, dealers service bay share dropped to 26% while Repair
\nCenters and Service Stations share increased to 74%.  Although the market share has increased for
\nRepair Centers and Service Stations, additional bays are needed as the average
\nvehicle age increases.<\/p>\n

Why do you think your company stands out in the industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our co-brand model clearly explains to
\ncustomers that we can handle any type of repair from basic preventive
\nmaintenance services to more complicated transmission repair.    Cars are becoming more and more complicated
\nand consumers are coming to rely on one auto repair shop to manage maintenance
\nand repairs. <\/p>\n

What makes your franchise\/ business opportunity more attractive
\nthan your competitor’s?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Both Mr. Transmission and Milex
\nComplete Auto Care are time tested brands. 
\nThey distinctly say what they do so there is no confusion with the
\nconsumer.  With our co-brand model, the
\ncustomer clearly knows they are getting the best of both areas in the repair
\nsegment.  Others have simply added
\nservices to their existing brand.  We
\ntook the approach of bringing the best of the two brands together in one
\nmodel.  <\/p>\n

Describe the ideal candidate. 
\nDo you think your requirements are any different than your competitor’s?<\/strong><\/p>\n

First and foremost
\nautomotive experience is not required.   We find that many of our owners enjoy being
\naround the automotive industry whether they are technicians or just car
\nenthusiasts.  And many see the benefit of
\nbeing in a stable industry such as automotive repair.   We also look for proven performers in other
\nfields of business.  Someone who has good
\npeople skills and management ability. 
\nHas strong sales ability, a good work ethic and is skilled at team
\nbuilding.  Has integrity and ethics.  Is an entrepreneur that can work within the
\nframework of a system.   And is a self-starter with initiative.  <\/p>\n

What’s the strongest skill you require in a candidate?  <\/strong><\/p>\n

The strongest skill would be a great
\nwork ethic with a sales and management background<\/p>\n

Describe the working environment of your franchisees (indoors,
\nhome office, mobile, etc).  Is your
\nenvironment typical of other companies in your industry?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Franchisees typically manage the day
\nto the day operation and marketing of the business from the center, however
\nthere may be instances where they need to step in and work with customers.   An owner is acting more in a professional
\nposition and is does not typically involve themselves in the mechanical repairs
\nof the car.  <\/p>\n

Why has you’re your company been successful?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Our company continues to be successful
\nbased on long-standing principles of creating customer loyalty and
\nsatisfaction.   It’s something we strive
\nfor with our franchisees and customers. <\/p>\n

What advice would you give someone interested in buying a
\nfranchise in your industry? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Do your homework!  Investigate at least 3 different
\nopportunities in your category and reach out to existing franchisees to get a
\nreal life perspective. <\/p>\n

How much experience in this industry should a franchisee candidate
\nhave should they consider buying a franchise in your industry?  <\/strong><\/p>\n

No automotive experience or background
\nis necessary to be a successful franchisee in our system.  A general business management background is
