Read more about the<br \/>\nindustry here. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Can you tell us more<br \/>\nabout the industry that Sweet and Sassy is involved in? <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are a <a target=\"_blank\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/www.franchisegator.com\/industries\/retail-franchises\/\" rel=\"noopener\">retail store<\/a>, salon, and party place for girls and<br \/>\ntweens.&nbsp; It&#8217;s a great business because<br \/>\ngirls are always having birthdays, getting their haircut, and wanting to have<br \/>\nfun with their friends.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How has your industry<br \/>\nchanged in the last 10-20 years? &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It has changed<br \/>\nsignificantly in the last 10 years.&nbsp; 10<br \/>\nyears ago there was no special place for girls to be girls and get their hair<br \/>\ncut and be pampered in a child-friendly way.&nbsp;<br \/>\nThey went to chains with their brothers.&nbsp;<br \/>\nEar-piercing was at a department store and not an experience.&nbsp; Most parties were at home 20 years ago.&nbsp; Riding to your party in a hot pink limousine<br \/>\nfor a nominal additional fee wasn&#8217;t even an option!<\/p>\n<p>What trends do you see in your industry over the next 5<br \/>\nyears?&nbsp; Next 10 years?&nbsp; More growth and specialization.&nbsp; It&#8217;s a niche industry and expanding as tweens<br \/>\nwant somewhere special for themselves.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the biggest<br \/>\nconcern about your industry that a franchisee candidate should be aware of and<br \/>\ninvestigate?&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is not something you can do as a hobby like some other<br \/>\nfranchises.&nbsp; You are running a retail<br \/>\nstore, salon, and party place all under one roof.&nbsp; It requires commitment and hard work to run<br \/>\nwell.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why do you think<br \/>\nSweet &amp; Sassy stands out in the industry?&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We are the best.&nbsp; We<br \/>\nhave the best architects and store designers.&nbsp;<br \/>\nLandlords want our concept, so we have the best locations.&nbsp; We find the best retail tween products and<br \/>\nnegotiate vendor discounts for the best retail.&nbsp;<br \/>\nWe update our parties to keep them current.&nbsp; Our marketing staff is exceptional and we<br \/>\nhave top-notch marketing and storefront material.&nbsp; It all comes together strategically to be<br \/>\nvery Sweet &amp; Sassy and the ultimate place to shop, get pampered, or have a<br \/>\nparty.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What makes the Sweet<br \/>\n&amp; Sassy opportunity more attractive than your competitor&#8217;s?&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We have three businesses under one roof that all cross-sell<br \/>\neach other for a higher average ticket price.&nbsp;<br \/>\nOur architects, real estate consultant, store builder, retail vendors,<br \/>\nmarketing staff, and operational staff are exceptional and provide a high-end<br \/>\nstore that is strategic, professional, and where tweens want to be.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Describe the ideal<br \/>\ncandidate.&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We learned the hard way what makes a great candidate.&nbsp; When we started, we sold to those who<br \/>\nfinancially qualified and had good territories.&nbsp;<br \/>\nAs some owners floundered and others excelled, we learned that location<br \/>\nwas a factor, but also a strong work ethic from the owner, prior business<br \/>\nexperience, and a commitment to customer service excellence were also big<br \/>\nfactors needed for a successful store.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s the strongest<br \/>\nskill you require in a candidate?&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Business experience and a strong work ethic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Describe the working<br \/>\nenvironment of your franchisees. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our franchisees work in their stores.&nbsp; They motivate staff, greet customers, plan<br \/>\nand order retail merchandise, and execute marketing plans.&nbsp; It is very much an on-your-feet people<br \/>\nposition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why has you&#8217;re your<br \/>\ncompany been successful?&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Strong brand, strong store design, great parties, great<br \/>\nretail products, commitment to serving our customers.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What advice would you<br \/>\ngive someone interested in buying a franchise in your industry?&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a more difficult<br \/>\nindustry than average.&nbsp; You are working<br \/>\nwith stylists, high school party coordinators, front staff, retail customers,<br \/>\nmarketers, etc.&nbsp; It is three businesses<br \/>\nunder one roof and the ability to multi-task and get the job done is<br \/>\ncritical.&nbsp; It is a commitment and not a<br \/>\nside business or hobby.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How much experience<br \/>\nin this industry should a franchisee candidate have should they consider buying<br \/>\na franchise in your industry?&nbsp; <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our successful owners do not have any salon experience (a<br \/>\ncommon question), but do have 10+ years of business<br \/>\nexperience.&nbsp; Business experience and<br \/>\ncommitment to customer service excellence is a must.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sweet &amp; Sassy has a unique business model in an ever-growing industry.
