The sweet treat is USDA Smart Snack Approved and far exceeds the new USDA \u201cAll Foods Sold in Schools\u201d guidelines that were implemented on July 1, 2016.<\/p>\n

For two years, since the inception of the USDA\u2019s Smart Snack initiative, Kona Ice has been leading flavor innovation efforts to stay ahead of the federal government\u2019s requirements for school nutrition.
