Provide an overview/ description of your industry. Include reasons why it’s a great industry to start a business in today.

The non-medical home care industry has been a leader in job growth in the United States. The number of seniors in America continues to grow rapidly. AARP studies indicate that 90% of seniors want to remain in their home as long as possible and age in place.  

How has your industry changed in the last 10 years? 20 years?

The public awareness of home health care services has increased rapidly. The number of seniors needing home care services continues to grow at a strong pace and will do so for many decades to come. 

What trends do you see in your industry over the next 5 years?  Next 10 years?

The trend is for more automation and transparency for families and their loved ones. Better online training tools for caregivers. More resources allowing for the selection of care at various price points. 

What is the biggest concern about your industry that a franchisee candidate should be aware of and investigate?

Because of the continued impressive growth in the industry the supply of caregivers has become stressed. An organization like Companion Connection must rise to the challenge to meet every increasing demand. 

Why do you think your company stands out in the industry?

We are leaders in the industry having a very successful company owned unit since 1985. We have been showing others how to build this type of business since 2004 using a unique membership model. The program is affordable and can be financed over a 12 month period. We have over 300 members in the United States, many have gone on to create multi-million dollar businesses.

What makes your franchise/ business opportunity more attractive than your competitor’s?

We do not charge a royalty fee, we allow for 12 month financing, we have tremendous member success stories, one member now has ten Million dollars in sales. We are well recognized leaders in the industry. The founder David Goodman is an Amazon best-selling author having co-authored a book with Jack Canfield the author of “chicken soup for the soul series”. 

Describe the ideal candidate.  Do you think your requirements are any different than your competitor’s?

The ideal candidate has proper capitalization and is eager to help their senior care community. They have a love for learning and leveraging information from leaders in the industry. They like communicating with seniors and caregivers alike and helping people to solve problems. 

What’s the strongest skill you require in a candidate?

Compassion.

Describe the working environment of your franchisees. Is your environment typical of other companies in your industry?

This business can start as a home based business*(some state licensing requires and office location). 

Why has your company been successful?

We provide an excellent service, we assist with state licensing, marketing material, sales and operational training and much more all in one low price. We provide many ongoing sales support services and allow for zero interest monthly financing of membership fee. 

How much experience in this industry should a franchisee candidate have should they consider buying a franchise in your industry?

A franchise candidate does not require previous experience in the industry.
