We believe the quick lube industry has been ahead of its time in terms of selling the consumer back their time. Whether it's Uber selling people their time back, or smart fridges that order a new case of soda when it realizes you're down to your last can and knows your drinking habits, the quick lube industry is the same.

The use of full synthetics has negated the need for large holding tanks, which reduces the amount of space needed for a quick lube location and eliminates the need for expensive full basements below grade.

We believe that even as the U.S. and the auto industry embrace renewable energy, the combustion engine and use of oil isn't going anywhere for a long time given the unique independent spirit embedded in American society and the widespread use of petroleum in so many products today.

Why an Oil Change Franchise?

We believe the quick lube industry itself isn’t broken. However, the days of spending $500,000 to $1,000,000 dollars or more to launch a quick lube business are over. With oil change intervals being stretched because of new synthetic oils, traditional quick lubes with three or four bays do not generate the car volume to justify massive leases or mortgages. There has been a learning curve for landlords who have been used to receiving hefty lease payments since the late 80's and are not used to taking huge haircuts on facilities that largely cannot be re-purposed to be used for anything else.

Costa Oil has developed a quick lube franchise concept that requires less initial capital, has less overhead in the form of rent and staffing, and is more suited for today's quick lube environment. Our one bay and two bay Costa Oil Kiosks will be placed in parking lots of strip malls, or walk-in malls, or adjoined to high volume businesses with lot space such as McDonalds or Dunkin Donuts. We finance the construction of our kiosks through a third-party real estate partner and lease it directly to franchisees, making it easier, less expensive, and faster for franchisees to open their businesses.

Costa Oil IDEAL FRANCHISEE

Costa Oil's opportunity is open to owner operators, semi-absentee owners, and absentee owners.
We look for candidates with business or corporate experience with an interest in opening multiple units.
No automotive experience is required. This is a retail service business; we will train them on how to operate a quick lube. Basic business knowledge, including marketing and P&L experience is helpful. We look for relationship-oriented candidates who can connect with people.
