ALL PRO - Franchise Q & A

Franchise Qa With Rick Robinson President Of All Pro Cleaning Systems

How was your franchise/opportunity originally conceived and started?

Partner Ron Showalter is original founder. He decided to change his model and franchise nationally last year and I joined as his partner to help him do so. I have 34 years of franchising experience and 24 years in commercial cleaning franchising.

What was your original vision for your company? How has that changed over time?

All Pro was originally a franchise model like most of the others (Jani-King, Coverall, Jan-Pro, etc.). We changed the model to use independent cleaning contractors instead of selling small unit franchises to clean the buildings.

What do you believe is the single most important factor when choosing a franchise?

Proven business model and excellent leadership and support team.

Why should someone choose your franchise over other similar franchises?

Ron & I have 55 years of industry success and have helped more than 1,000 people start a successful franchise.

What makes your industry attractive?

Recession proof, $100 billion dollar industry, every building you can see is a potential customer.

What types of qualities do you look for in potential franchisees?

Self-starter, lead example with a positive sense of urgency.

What do your franchise fees and royalties cover?

Training, Brand usage, systems access, proven marketing programs, etc.

How do territories work for your franchisees?

We have some of the largest exclusive territories in all of franchising. Usually an entire metro area of 1-3 million population.

Why has your franchise model been successful?

Built over 24 years and now launched nationally.

Where do you see your franchise in 5 years and 10 years?

Regional franchise offices in  every major and mid sized metro market.

What is your favorite advice for new franchisees to help them succeed?

Make things happen with a positive sense or urgency and build a team around you with that same energy.

What would you tell potential franchisees that may be nervous about the financial burdens of starting a franchise?

Stop helping other people to build their dreams and start building your own.

Can you explain your financial assistance?

In-house financing for their Territory Fees, plus no Royalties for the first 6 months.

On average, how long does it take to start a new franchise from the franchisees point of view?

With our model they can be billing new customers in the first 90 days!

What was your background and experience before founding this franchise?

I have 34 years of franchising experience starting as a corporate VP running a regional office, then building my own large master franchise, then consulting for 10 years helping companies to franchise themselves, turnarounds and a matchmaker helping to match individuals to the best franchise for them.
