"There are so many reasons why Caliber makes the best, most sensible choice for care transportation. When you raise the bar, you get a higher standard of care. We’re out to prove a lot of things and we take care very seriously. With our Compassion Standard© promise, we’re out to prove that we can be a company founded on respect and compassion. How’s that for a change in today’s companies?"
- Kyle Calvert CEO
We are a forward thinking company that utilizes the newest technologies to provide services for all our elderly, handicapped, and disabled clientele. Our locations are a part of your community, and we’re committed to helping neighborhoods thrive wherever we do business. There is an ideal we share that our scale can be used not only as a positive force for the individual, but for the friends and families that ultimately form the fabric of our everyday lives.
Caliber patient Care, as an EOE (Equal Opportunity Employer), grows in line with those pioneering minds we employ. We support your region by hiring local and working local, providing jobs for all walks of life.
Clean – Our employees ensure every one of our vehicle's remains within our high standards of cleanliness at all times.
Green – Our state of the art fleet uses e85 non-ethanol Flex Fuel and receives a staggering 26 miles per gallon.
Safe – We have brand new passenger vans, offering Five-Star crash ratings, side airbags, even GPS assistance in the unlikely event of an accident.
CPR Certification and Safe Driver Training – It's not a law; it’s not even a policy a lot of transport companies follow. But we’re different. Every Caliber driver is fully certified in CPR/First Aid/AED for adult, child, and infant. But we don’t stop there. Our drivers are first trained in defensive driving, and then are continually tested to ensure the safest driving fleet on the road. Standard drug screening, background checks, and MVR searches (company wide) make for a safe workforce and workplace. Our promise to you is a safe, clean and sensitive environment for you or your clients to ride in. Something the competition just can’t match.
We provide the best-trained drivers. For starters, we only hire drivers with a minimum of two years of experience. Then we provide initial training and continuous education with the latest driver care insights.
First Aid/CPR/AED Standard – You trust our people with your life and the lives of your loved ones. This is something we don’t take lightly. Caliber Patient Care administers American Red Cross® CPR, First Aid, and AED training and certification for every driver and we hold each to a high standard of care.
Certified, Caring People –Our exclusive Transport Care training program covers safe driving, in-care safety, accident avoidance, and patient transport. Every driver will be in uniform, have a photo ID badge, and will look presentable and professional.
Wheelchair/Paralift – Non-emergency medical transportation. Transport technicians are more than just drivers, they are specially trained professionals certified in CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving; specifically designed for the physically challenged.
Ambulatory – Non-emergency medical transportation. Transport technicians are more than just drivers, they are specially trained professionals certified in CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving Door-to-door customer service.
What is Non-Emergency Medical Transportation?
Non-emergency medical transportation is for patients who require special medical attention while in transit from one location to another, and who do not require medical intervention or treatment or rapid transport to an emergency facility. Medex VITAL is a long distance non-emergency medical transportation service, however we are not a Medicare or Medicaid provider. VITAL is the perfect alternative to the air ambulance, and is a service of CalvertHealth.
Who Uses Non-emergency Medical Transportation?
An ideal candidate for non-emergency medical transportation is a person who is medically stable, yet still requires medical support. For example, a resident of a nursing home who has recently been released from the hospital could use VITAL to return to the nursing home. Or perhaps a chronically ill patient might need medical transportation to get to a specialist in a distant location.
