How was your franchise/opportunity originally conceived and started? 

It started in Dubai in 2013 when a German national living in Dubai missed his favorite food – the Doner sandwich.

What was your original vision for your company? 

To be the worldwide leader in the Kebab market.

What do you believe is the single most important factor when choosing a franchise? 

The experience of the franchisor.

Why should someone choose your franchise over other similar franchises? 

We have something unique and different which appeals to the younger generation.

What makes your industry attractive? 

Fresh and healthy ingredients offered in an appealing environment.

What types of qualities do you look for in potential franchisees? 

People orientated, operationally savvy with a growth mindset.

What do your franchise fees and royalties cover? 

Franchise fees covers the use of the brand icons. The royalty covers the ongoing support from the franchisor.

How do territories work for your franchisees? 

Franchisees will identify a dedicated territory and then agre upon the potential store outlets within the territory. Upon agreement sign a franchise development agreement.

Why has your franchise model been successful?  

Size of the outlet (1200-1500sqft) generating sales per sq foot above the industry standard supported by operational standards and robust supply chain.

Where do you see your franchise in 5 years and 10 years? 

Global with about 1,000 outlets.

What is your favorite advice for new franchisees to help them succeed? 

Be engaged from day one and stick to the operational procedures and standards. Secondly know your customer and surroundings of the outlet.

What would you tell potential franchisees that may be nervous about the financial burdens of starting a franchise? 

Build your knowledge and understanding of the brand and ask as many questions as you can so you can become familiar as quickly as possible. Don’t leverage your business with debt and make sure that you have unencumbered funds to initially support the business.

Can you explain your financial assistance? 

We do not offer financial assistance but can steer franchisees to financial institutions.

On average, how long does it take to start a new franchise from the franchisees point of view? 

From signing to opening one can work on 6 months.

What was your background and experience before founding this franchise? 

I worked for Yum Brands and held various executive roles from CFO,CDO and CEO.
