Open A MemoryWise Store In Your Area Today!

Almost everyone has them...boxes of old memories. And what about the thousands of digital videos and photos on devices? MemoryWise is dedicated to helping families enjoy their old and new memories in lasting and convenient digital formats. We take old film, video, photo & audio memories, digitize them, and create custom productions on discs, or archive-quality files on drives. We also take new digital memories and convert them into more usable digital formats.

Since our founding in 2003, we’ve put one simple insight at the center of everything we do: Memories are unique and precious. People want their memories treated with care and kept safe because there is no way to replace them.

In 2003, our own parents were struggling to find a company they trusted to digitize their home movies and slides. Our vision was to offer an alternative to faceless mail-away and drop-box services. We wanted to create a local company where you could bring your boxes of memories, talk to a friendly, knowledgeable person about your project, and have it put together exactly the way you envision. The concept was an immediate hit.

Bringing About The Digital Memories Revolution

We made the decision to franchise MemoryWise because we wanted to give others the same experience we enjoy — an opportunity to work for ourselves and independently make a living, while doing something meaningful. If you choose to join us at MemoryWise, we think you’ll come to realize that this business is special; it’s unique and highly sought-after. The personal interactions with clients as they share their stories and memories make work fun and interesting, and at the end of the day you have the satisfaction that you helped each person with a project that was immeasurably important to them.

The journey of starting MemoryWise and growing the company into a franchise has enriched our lives in so many ways, and has enabled us to enrich the lives of the thousands of clients who entrust us with their memories. We hope that joining us in this journey will similarly enrich your life, and enable you to make a meaningful contribution to your neighbors and community by helping to make their memories lasting and convenient to enjoy!

Training & Support

Getting Started: We will give you all of the tools you need to locate, lease, develop, outfit and open your MemoryWise store. Our Store Opening team is there to help throughout the process, and will be onsite by your side as you open your doors.

Training: Our training program is designed to teach you the skills and help you build the expertise to run a successful retail digitization services business. The founders, Gwen & Eric, have operated Memories to Digital in Colorado for 13 years, and their experience is the foundation of our training and support programs. Training is a combination of classroom instruction, online home study, a 3 week on-the-job work experience in a MemoryWise store, and a final phase of training onsite at your franchise location the week before and week of your opening.

Operations Manual: Our confidential online manual is your roadmap to successfully running every facet of your MemoryWise business. Complete with detailed instructions and operating procedures, and even numerous helpful videos, all of the material is continually updated to ensure you have the best information at your fingertips at all times.

Tech Support: We work in a technical business that is evolving day-by-day. Our expert Technology Team works behind the scenes to keep MemoryWise on the cutting edge of the digital world. They’ll support your in-store tech experts by keeping the manual up-to-date with the most current information and procedures.

Business Management Support: Know how to burn a DVD but not sure what a P&L is? Don’t worry. Our CEO, Gwen, has an MM from Kellogg and has worked in business management for 20 years. Just as we’ll train you on all of our digital services, we’ll also teach you the fundamentals of running a business and give you the tools to make it easy.

Marketing: You’ll start your business equipped with everything you’ll need to generate leads and drive sales. Our talented Marketing team will share their marketing know-how, provide you with marketing plans, and help with the planning and execution of your Grand Opening advertising to get you off to the best start possible. As you are doing local advertising, our Marketing team’s advice and guidance is always only a phone call or email away.

Ongoing Support: Our dedicated Ongoing Support team is available to provide advice and guidance as you operate your business.

Ideal Candidate

Do you have a demonstrated track-record of success in your career? We’re looking for proven, results-oriented, driven, achievers to lead our franchise businesses.

Are you passionate about memories? Are you the keeper of your family's memories? Were you the one who recorded videos of your kids as they grew up? Have you digitized media for your family and friends? Are you into genealogy? We’re looking for people who understand how important family memories are and want to help others by making their memories lasting and convenient to enjoy!

Do you like people? We are more of a people business than a tech business; technology is just the tool we use to meet our clients’ needs. Imagine the mom who is putting a production together for her daughter’s wedding, or the sisters who are chronicling their family history in photos, or the dad who has painstakingly recorded videos of his kids for 20 years… Will you enjoy working with them as much as you like working with computers? Will you be committed to doing whatever it takes to make them happy?

Are you a bit of a techie or an enginerd? You can’t succeed in this business without liking technology. You’ll be surrounded by computers, scanners, printers and various other pieces of equipment, computer systems, hardware and software. You’ll need to be as comfortable with technology as you are with people.

Are you a first-rate problem-solver? Some people just like to solve problems. They like a challenge and when faced with one, step up rather than get frustrated. We’re looking for those types.

Are you picky about details and quality? Do you like things done right? We do. We believe quality lies in the details and in our careful attention to every aspect of a client's project. We want franchisees who are as committed to quality as we are.

Can you commit to MemoryWise full-time? While owning your own business gives flexibility, we are still a high-touch business, offering customized projects and personal service. We feel the day-to-day involvement of our franchisees is critical to the success of MemoryWise.
