We started in the pizza business in Omaha, Nebraska in 1993; we opened our second location in 1995. In 1999 we decided we needed a new name and a new direction and Sam & Louie’s was born!

Our exceptional training program includes both classroom and hands-on training in critical areas such as promotional activities, food preparation, customer service, administrative duties, problem solving and more.
Beginning with your site selection, obtaining equipment and supplies, pre- and post- grand opening, through day-to-day operations, Sam & Louie’s is with you every step of the way to help ensure the success and growth of your business. You will receive a confidential, complete Operations Manual with periodic updates covering all areas of the Sam & Louie’s system. Our helpful management staff will communicate with you on an ongoing basis and are available for consultation and assistance on all facets of your operation.
The initial franchise fee for an individual unit is $25,000. The total cost to get operational will range from $327,500 to $468,700. This includes the franchise fee, leasehold improvements, equipment, initial inventory and supplies, advertising, required working capital and the training program. Keep in mind that costs do vary based on location, size of the unit, suppliers and other factors. Sam & Louie's will work with you to obtain the lowest costs possible.

My name is Diann Steffens. Our Sam & Louie's is located in Sidney, Nebraska, right off interstate A. It's a lot of hard work but you do have flexibility. I just don't know there aren't more people opening them actually because the numbers are there. We had talked about opening a pizza place without it being a franchise first. The reason we went for franchise and again with Sam & Louie's is because they came out, they work with you. They were working with us before we even decided to sign the dotted line. I'm a people person and I really enjoy the first two weeks I worked there on hands the first two weeks. That's like the kitchen bible to everybody that has the franchise. Everything is in there. Just the hands-on. Showing you exactly what they do, how it's made. How you can maybe even get to throw your own pizza in the air. They're great with marketing. We do programs at the school. They'll be glad to make the football coupons for instance. We ... Our football team sells cards. They help get that all going. They make all that available to us. To make it competitive. The pizza is better. We sell a lot of pasta but we still sell a lot of pizza. The point of sale [inaudible 00:002:02] it's really simple to use. You can go in and check numbers at the end of the day. Everybody is gone and you say, you know things didn't quite add up, I need to go through, you can go through each ticket. You can go through the whole thing and look at it and know what exactly is going on. They've ... They're the tried and true. they've tried things. They know what works. They still take suggestions. They're always making new changes to keep things better. You can call them for anything. Somebody ... If they don't answer right then, they'll call you back. They get back to you. Answer the question. If they don't know the answer. They'll get you in with one of the computer people that know the answer, if you're stuck. They're more like family and friends than they are the franchise person that's telling you what to do all the time. I just think they're great to work with.
