How was your franchise/opportunity originally conceived and started?
Our franchise began in Austin, Texas which was the birthplace of the trailer food concept. As professional event photographers, we saw a great opportunity to combine vintage trailers with event services such as photo booths and mobile bars.
What was your original vision for your company? How has that changed over time?
We started out offering photo booth services in vintage trailers and added mobile bar services which has been a huge hit, as well.
What do you believe is the single most important factor when choosing a franchise?
The franchise concept and the brand must be a good fit. Choose a franchise concept that you will be passionate about building and promoting.
Why should someone choose your franchise over other similar franchises?
Our concept is very scalable. A franchisee could start part-time on the weekends with one trailer and grow the business quickly to add on additional trailers and work full-time in the business.
What makes your industry attractive?
The wedding and corporate event industry in the US is a $60 Billion industry. There is a great deal of opportunity in this space.
What types of qualities do you look for in potential franchisees?
Good business acumen, excellent sales and marketing skills and strong customer service skills.

Our franchise fees and royalties secure the protected territory, ongoing concept development, usage rights to the brand name and national advertising.
How do territories work for your franchisees?
We offer large protected territories of up to 1.5 Million population (by Zip Code.) Additional territories may be added if they are within a specific driving distance to the home territory.
Why has your franchise model been successful?
We are a very unique event services rental that stands out from the local competition. Our proprietary trailer design allows two different service types – a photo booth rental and/or a mobile bar rental - from one trailer. Additional trailers can be added at any time.
Where do you see your franchise in 5 years and 10 years?
We will be more adding locations in the US and internationally and additional services that franchisees can offer in their local market.
What is your favorite advice for new franchisees to help them succeed?
Utilize our sales and marketing training – it will provide you the launch pad you need to succeed.

We offer third party financing through Boefly.com – a franchisee loan broker that has over 5000 participating lenders they can match the franchisee to.
On average, how long does it take to start a new franchise from the franchisees point of view?
It will take approximately 3 months from signing the franchise contract to opening their doors. We help them through every step of the process.
What was your background and experience before founding this franchise?
Co-Founder Chris Johnson was a professional event photographer for over 15 years and Co-Founder Yvonne Johnson was a marketing executive for several Fortune 500 brands before founding Silvercloud Trailer Events.
