About Us
The first We, The Pizza opened on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC in 2010 by The Mendelsohn Family.
The lines have been continuous at this hot spot frequented by millennials, neighborhood families, tourists, young professionals and DC politicos.
Harvey, Cathy, Micheline and Spike are passionate about food, in love with their community and completely committed to pizza, love & happiness.
Our Chefs craft dough with 100% white whole wheat flour milled solely from pure, natural goodness of winter wheat from the northern Great Plains. Our rich tomato sauce is made from the Pastini Family in the North that produce “the super deep red tomato” for a full flavor, deep-red color and “velvety” mouth-fell.
Our fresh herbs come from a small farm in Shenandoah Valley and all our pizzas and salads are garnished with our authentic tree-to-table virgin olive oil.
Our creamy Fiore di Latte mozzarella cheese is made with farm fresh organic milk and hand spun in our very own workshop. Our premium meats are sourced from family farms- our sausage is from family made Logans sausage from Alexandria, VA.
Our “soda jerks” are professional “Fizzicians” - Get it? Fizzicians?-who work their modern miracles on our American Soda Fountain. We use only natural spring soda and add a splash of crushed fruit, homemade syrups and a garnish.
