A company’s true strength is derived from its foundation. At Cornwell, our foundation is made from pure steel. Founded in 1919 by Eugene Cornwell, Cornwell Quality Tools has been in business longer than any other mobile tool company. Cornwell’s guiding vision is to create quality tools that make us the choice of professionals.

While technology, demand, and tool architecture has changed, Cornwell has stuck to its core of producing quality products. We make quality tools so our franchise owners can proudly stand behind the products they sell.

Advantages of a Cornwell Franchise

  • Family / Employee Owned
We are a privately held family/employee owned company.
  • You’re Our #1 Priority
Cornwell primarily markets tools and equipment through authorized dealer franchises. Our dealers are the most important part of our business.
  • Geographic Territory
You are given a geographic territory. You may sell to anyone inside that territory. Unlike our competitors we do not give you just a list of stops.
  • Be Your Own Boss
You have the ability to work for yourself. Your earnings are not determined by any business owner but you.
  • Sharing Experiences
Our District Managers are ready to share their experience to help you! There are always additional training opportunities through quarterly District Manager Meetings and our Annual Tool Rally.
  • Ironman Business Network
The Ironman Business Network (IBN) is a world class, modern software package to help manage and support your business activities.
  • Craftsmanship Is Key
We take pride in the quality products we sell. We manufacture a wide variety of professional tool storage boxes at our facility in Van Wert, Ohio. Hand forged Cornwell tools are Made in the USA at our plant in Mogadore, Ohio.

Training & Support

Training
At our Headquarters in Wadsworth, OH during a weeklong session, our training staff will teach you how to use our system and coach you on the tips and tricks of the business.

During this time we will give you a personal tour of our manufacturing facilities in Mogadore, OH. You will gain firsthand knowledge of the quality we put into our tools. We believe that while learning about Cornwell is essential to success in the business, we also provide training on sales and business management. This training will give you the tools needed to be the best business owner possible.

On the Road with Your District Manager
After your initial training, you will spend 10 days in your own territory with your District Manager riding alongside of you. Your District Manager will be able to coach you along the way so you are more comfortable in the drivers seat. Even after formal training stops, your District Manager is there to help. He has a vested interest in your success.

Additional Training Opportunities
We want to keep our dealers up to date about new products and new opportunities so they can stay ahead of the competition. There are always additional training opportunities through quarterly District Manager meetings and our annual Tool Rally. More important than the training itself is knowing there is a team backing you up.
