The founder of healthEhabitats, Toomas Niemann graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1994 with a degree in Environmental Science and Systems Engineering. After years of experience working in the medical device field, Toomas witnessed firsthand the negative impact of improper sanitizing of medical equipment and started the company ClinicalClean™. Toomas believed there should be a better and safer way to ensure the health and wellness of EMS and Fire personnel working in mobile trauma arenas. Working with a world-renowned microbiologist and Infection Preventionists he developed the 5-Stage trademarked Sanitizing Process and offered this routine, proactive approach to fire departments throughout the NYC metro area including FDNY and major hospital IDNs.
Understanding that surface sanitizing is just one element of achieving indoor environmental wellness, Toomas endeavored to understand the effects of air, water, and even EMF radiation as it pertains to better health where you live, work, and play. Broadening this approach, healthEhabitats was born in 2014 and our trademarked whole home wellness evaluations, remedial solutions, and continued monitoring and education services to customers throughout the lower NY market flourished.
In early 2020 the COVID pandemic struck our nation and organizations such as FDNY, Port Authority, Fortune 1000 companies as well as private banks, businesses, municipalities and conventional homeowners turned to healthEhabitats. Offering a proactive approach to disinfecting by (eliminating, containing, and monitoring), healthEhabitats and its franchisees serviced millions of square feet of space minimizing the concerns and fears of their customers.
