What will I receive as part of the High Altitude Personal Training franchise system?
High Altitude Personal Training will provide modular headquarters-based training for up to 3 people total, lasting up to 18 days and covering sales, administration, personal training techniques and assessments, and much more. One of our representatives will spend up to seven days in two visits assisting you and your staff on-site at your gym. We'll also present you with a copy of our confidential operations manual to help you run your business properly on a day-to-day basis.
What type of prior experience do I need to have?
If you have a true interest in or even a passion for fitness, then it is not necessary for you to have prior fitness industry experience. Having basic business and computer skills, plus sales and customer relations skills will also be a plus. You or your staff should have proper certifications and credentials to provide personal training services. We prefer owner-operators — or on-site managers — who can commit to the daily management of the business. We welcome single unit owners as well as qualified multi-unit owners.
How much will the High Altitude Personal Training franchise investment cost me?
The projected initial investment range for a single start-up location is between $261,270 and $365,520; this investment amount includes an initial franchise fee of $29,000.As with any new business venture, it's important that you have the capital needed to adequately fund your new business.
Are there other ongoing fees paid to the franchisor?
Franchisees will be required to pay royalties at a rate of 6% of gross revenue, or a minimum flat monthly fee, whichever is greater. These royalties allow us to fund our ongoing support services and the continued development of services and product selections, marketing tools, training programs, and systems upgrades. Franchisees will also pay a technology fee equal to $200 per month for access to and support of our proprietary fitness business management software platform.
Are there any advertising fees?
The franchisee is required to spend no more than 3% on local advertising and contributions to the national advertising fund. Collected funds will be used to develop marketing strategies to promote the High Altitude Personal Training brand and fund the creative costs to develop local franchise marketing materials and campaigns.
