How was your franchise/opportunity originally conceived and started?
In 1977 the founder recognized the need in the market for reconditioning/refinishing home fixture like bathtubs and sinks. Not only was this more affordable for homeowners, it also saved landfills from being filled with tubs. Upcycling is a new trend to some but it is what Miracle Method has been doing for years.
What was your original vision for your company? How has that changed over time?
Originally our concept offered an owner operator model reflecting an industry that was in its infancy. Today, with the higher demand for quality refinishing, our business model requires an owner manager model to handle the higher volume of business. Commercial work has grown dramatically over the past five years which also drives the volume of work and necessity of a management model.
What do you believe is the single most important factor when choosing a franchise?
It is important for a prospective franchisee to find a good fit based on their goals and abilities. Beyond that, it is critical to find a franchise with proven success and systems. Miracle Method offers both.
Why should someone choose your franchise over other similar franchises?
We offer a unique niche service with proprietary technology that has made us the leader in our industry. Our pillars of differentiation for a prospective franchisee are: Proven Customer Demand, Proven Industry Leader, Proven System and Proven Success. There are very few other franchise opportunities at our investment level where you can get a similar return on investment.
What makes your industry attractive?
The refinishing industry is primarily made up of single solo operators (Mom and Pop operations) so we don’t have a lot of competitors and this is the remodeling industries future. I believe that our greatest growth period is still ahead of us as more residential and commercial customers discover the benefits of refinishing. The people who establish themselves early on will reap the biggest rewards at a much lower investment level than any other comparable concept.
What types of qualities do you look for in potential franchisees?
A strong candidate for us is a person who has some management experience with a sales background, can follow a system, and is competitive in nature. We are somewhat selective as we require our franchisees to perform the highest level of quality work.
What do your franchise fees and royalties cover?
The franchise fee covers some training costs, a start up package of collateral materials, and the initial territory. The royalties cover ongoing technical support, marketing, continuing education programs, vendor discounts and more.
How do territories work for your franchisees?
Each territory is defined by zip codes and has a population of approximately 300K. All territories are protected and contain a good mix of residential and commercial customers.
Why has your franchise model been successful?
Our franchise system has been and continues to be successful because we set high standards, demand quality, and expect exceptional customer service from our franchisees. We have refined our model and systems over time to provide the most efficient and successful best practices to running a surface refinishing business.
Where do you see your franchise in 5 years and 10 years?
We have pioneered many advances in our industry and we will continue to expand and redefine what can be accomplished with our process. We fully expect to have over 300 franchises in operation with yearly sales over $150 Million.
What is your favorite advice for new franchisees to help them succeed?
Follow the system. All of our franchisees have been where you are, what ensured their success is their ability to follow our proven model. Owning a business is no doubt going to be challenging, but it can also be one of the most rewarding experiences a person endeavors to do.
What would you tell potential franchisees that may be nervous about the financial burdens of starting a franchise?
Rewards in life don’t come without some risk. However, what Miracle Method offers is a much more calculated risk. We have done this before, you are not alone and many of the mistakes that solo entrepreneurs make can be avoided because you are buying a system that has been applied and refined for success.
Can you explain your financial assistance?
Miracle Method will finance up to 50% of the initial franchise fee for up to three years. Inquire for more details.
On average, how long does it take to start a new franchise from the franchisees point of view?
From the time a candidate is awarded a Miracle Method Franchise they can expect to be open for business in about 6 to 8 weeks.
Do you have any franchisee testimonials or success stories that you would like to share?
“There is a tremendous amount of financial opportunity when you open a Miracle Method Franchise. We have three territories, and we’re working on a fourth. The amount of demand for our product has increased dramatically over the last couple of years, and buying a Miracle Method Franchise puts you in the position to capitalize on that demand.”
Andrew Gorski, Miracle Method Cleveland, OH
“Our Miracle Method Franchise is just over two years in the making. Our business is doing so well, we have doubled revenues in our second year and hope to continue that level of growth in the future. There are very few businesses that make a profit in the first five years – we accomplished it in less than two.”
Fred Haas. Miracle Method Chicago NW Metro
“We exceeded our revenue projections for startup by 50%. The ability to perform work for both residential and commercial accounts is a tremendous advantage over many other business opportunities. We could not be happier with the support we’ve received from both the corporate office and other franchisees. The executive leadership at the corporate office is right in step with giving us the tools we need to be successful.”
Phil Panarisi, Miracle Method Indianapolis, IN
