About Us

Outdoor Connection was incorporated in April 1989 and began franchising in 1990. Throughout the years, we have continuously strived to bring top quality lodges, guides, and outfitters in the world to our franchises. The franchise opportunity we offer will allow you to promote and arrange outdoor sporting adventures using the Outdoor Connection name and services.

Outdoor Connection was created for the purpose of marketing fishing and hunting trips to individuals, businesses, and sportsmen and women related groups. From Big Game to Fly Fishing, our catalog offers a range of activities in such diverse locations as Brazil or Guatemala to Africa or New Zealand. With over 250 lodges, guides, and outfitters worldwide, our offerings are second to none.

People feel more comfortable working with a company that is recognized for its quality, competence, and success. Outdoor Connection has built an international network of independently owned offices well-trained in fishing and hunting travel. Unlike a customer choosing their next trip from a magazine advertisement, over the internet or speaking with the lodge owner who may make unrealistic promises to book them, Outdoor Connection knows the pros and cons of each lodge with whom we do business.

Benefits

In addition to owning and operating an exciting, outdoor related business, the franchise owner receives a number of benefits. Each lodge Outdoor Connection does business with is inspected by a team of franchise owners. This affords franchisees the chance to experience their lodges first hand. It also allows the franchise owner to take part in rating prospective lodges.

A number of lodges with whom Outdoor Connection does business also offer special discounts to Outdoor Connection franchisees.

Franchisees earn money from trip sales of course, but Outdoor Connection has also developed commission paying programs such as catalog advertising sales, franchise referrals, travel insurance, satellite phone sales, rentals and more.

Training

Outdoor Connection provides an extensive training program to new franchises. From your initial orientation program, to the Outdoor Connection national convention, Outdoor Connection supplies ongoing training and support. The initial training program is usually completed in two days and covers: Office Procedures, Marketing & Advertising, review of the Operations Manual and Internet, Legal Considerations, Problem Solving, Promotions, Business Operation, and Booking Procedures.

What's Included

Outdoor Connection offers a franchise for $12,900 (five year contract). We recommend that franchisees have at least $20,000 available to invest in their business start-up.
