How was your franchise/opportunity originally conceived and started? 

1995, franchising began in 1998.

What was your original vision for your company? How has that changed over time? 

Full service landscape and architectural lighting approach for residential homes. How has that changed over time? The core focus remains the same. The real differences are the additions of holiday and hospitality lighting. 

What do you believe is the single most important factor when choosing a franchise? 

A brand that can achieve the goals of the franchisee. 

Why should someone choose your franchise over other similar franchises? 

Time in the industry. First “real” full-service company in North America. We provide scale by including other sources of revenue streams through holiday, hospitality, event lighting, and annual maintenance plans. 

What makes your industry attractive? 

It’s a niche concept that can truly add curb appeal, safety, and security to homes, landscapes, or outdoor spaces.  

What types of qualities do you look for in potential franchisees? 

Someone who has a comfort level with selling, networking and marketing. 

What do your franchise fees and royalties cover? 

Support, technology & marketing.

How do territories work for your franchisees? 

The territories are based on zip code and demographics within.

Why has your franchise model been successful? 

We stand strong behind out support and relationships with our franchisees. 

Where do you see your franchise in 5 years and 10 years? 

Having over 100 locations in 5 years and doing 50+ million in sales. In 10 years, being a true national brand that has more than 150+ markets in North America.  

What is your favorite advice for new franchisees to help them succeed? 

Follow the proven systems that are provided. Don’t be shy, call us frequently for any questions. 

What would you tell potential franchisees that may be nervous about the financial burdens of starting a franchise? 

Proper planning in execution will reduce these stresses. 

Can you explain your financial assistance? 

We offer financing of up to 50% of the franchise fee. 

On average, how long does it take to start a new franchise from the franchisees point of view? 

This is variable but anywhere from 3-6 months.
