Our History

Pedal Pub® started the first party bike business in the United States in April of 2007.

Pedal Pub® co-founders Eric Olson and Al Boyce saw a photo of the Fietscafe® party bike from the Netherlands in an email from a friend and took a leap of faith that the party bike concept would work in America.

In 2017, the business was sold to Proprietors Capital Holdings and in 2018, franchising began.

Our manufacturer, Het Fietscafe® from Stroe, Netherlands, invented the party bike concept in 1997.

Brothers Zwier and Henk Van Laar were challenged with finding a unique way to promote a bar in the local Queen’s Day parade.  Their solution was simple – to engineer a rolling pub.

The first draft of their design was sketched on the back of a bar napkin.  Seventeen years later, that bike is still on the road.  Their continued experience has led them to manufacturing the most durable and feature-rich party bikes in the world.

Since 1997 they have since built hundreds of Fietscafe® brand party bikes, from their new, state-of-the-art factory in Stroe.  They are manufacturing party bikes for customers in many different countries – making them the most popular party bike in the world.

How Do I Become a Pedal Pub Franchisee?

The first step is to fill out the Request for Information from the link below.  We will then send you our Pedal Pub Business brochure which will go into greater detail, and answer most of your questions about the business.  A member of the Business Development Team will reach out to set up a call within 24 hours of you completing the form. If you decide to proceed, we will send you our Application and Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD) that details every aspect of our Franchise offering. Upon return of your application, we will start the internal approval process and begin a deep dive into your desired territory.
