Our History

Recognizing The Need

For over 30 years, The Entrepreneur Source has been building a reputation in business coaching. We are now North America’s leading business ownership coaching organization. It began in the mid 1980’s when our CEO, Terry Powell, recognized the fact that 70 percent of the population has a strong desire to be self-sufficient, but only a small number actually find a way to make it happen – a mere 5 percent. Far too many people give up on their dreams too soon, when education and guidance could show them the way to success. Having strong ties in franchising, Mr. Powell also recognized how many franchisors were in need of qualified franchisee prospects. Given this fact, he began to make the connection.

A Bridge Is Formed

With nearly three quarters of the population feeling trapped on their current career path and so many franchisors offering the opportunity for business ownership and financial freedom, it only made sense to bridge the two groups. To this day, no other coaching group looks at the situation from both sides. We pride ourselves on the ability to give our prospects the most comprehensive, objective, unbiased and meaningful advice available anywhere, allowing them to come to their own conclusions about their future. If business ownership is the ultimate solution, then we have the ability to guide prospects through the entire process.
