Maui Wowi Spreads the Tastes of the Islands to the East Coast

Greenwood Village, CO — Maui Wowi Hawaiian, the global franchise company specializing in prestigious Hawaiian grown coffees and blended fresh fruit smoothies, has awarded a deserving U.S. veteran his first franchise agreement that will expand the tropical themed beverage company in the state of Virginia. Jorge Ruiz-Bonet will join a growing number of Maui Wowi franchise owners on the East Coast and plans to build the business throughout his community.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Ruiz-Bonet spent eight years in the military serving in the U.S. Army. He later received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and has been working as a financial analyst for the federal government for the past 13 years. He and his wife decided together that it was time to invest in their family’s future and wanted to own a business in which they could involve their children. In addition, they were in search of a flexible business that complimented their current jobs; allowing them to do both.
