WACO, Texas — Mr. Electric, a subsidiary of The Dwyer Group, Inc., will be celebrating 20 years as an electrical franchising company in the month of September.
The Mr. Electric franchise was founded in 1994 as the fourth company under The Dwyer Group franchising corporation. At that time, it did not have any name brand competitors and was the only company that provided national residential and commercial electrical services. The first Mr. Electric franchise was purchased by Mike Mulhman, who opened Mr. Electric of Waco, Texas.
