Navy Vet Cooks Up Barbecue in Wyoming’s Capital with First Dickey’s Barbecue Pit

Cheyenne, WY — While serving in the Navy, Nate Schott heard about Dickey’s Barbecue numerous times from family in Nebraska. One day he decided to make the hour drive from San Diego to Temecula to try Dickey’s Barbecue and he was glad he did. On Thursday, September 25 at 11 a.m., Schott will bring his favorite barbecue joint to his new home, Cheyenne. To celebrate, Schott is hosting a three-day grand opening celebration.

“Dickey’s not only drew me in with the great food and family-friendly atmosphere, the value also caught my eye,” said first time owner, Nate Schott. “Cheyenne is a great market for barbecue and I’m looking forward to fulfilling our brand promise of serving ‘A+ Barbecue’ to this great city.”
